Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Anthony was born in Canberra and raised and schooled in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney, where he attended Inaburra Private School. He then studied undergraduate degrees in both Dentistry and Medicine at the University of Sydney over the next 9 years. While studying he worked as a general dentist in Wollongong, Shellharbour and Menai. He completed his general medical years at Bankstown and Campbelltown hospitals in Southwest Sydney. Formal Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training was undertaken in Level 1 Trauma public hospitals at Westmead, Newcastle and Canberra over a 5 year period. Anthony then spent 12 months as a full time Consultant in complex Maxillofacial reconstructive microsurgery and trauma surgery at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and Gosford Hospital.
Anthony is a currently a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Westmead Public Hospital, traditionally the major centre of training for Maxillofacial Surgery for NSW and the ACT. He is also a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Gosford Public Hospital. Anthony is involved in the training of specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery registrars and has a keen interest in research. He has published several articles in peer reviewed journals and was awarded the Australian Dental Journal prize for Clinical Excellence in 2013
Anthony holds full general Dental, general Medical and specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery registrations with AHPRA . He is skilled in all aspects of both Oral Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is able to provide high quality Specialist care to all patients, and operates privately throughout Sydney, and the South Coast. Anthony’s interests outside of work include surfing, motorsports and fishing.
Practice Manager
Sally is our Practice Manager at both the Menai and Westmead clinics, and has degrees and diplomas in Law, Psychology, and Education (including Special Education). She is a lawyer and an Admittee of the Supreme Court of NSW. She is also a member of the NSW Law Society. Most of her qualifications were attained at Sydney Universities and Colleges. Sally holds a NSW Teacher Certificate and has worked with both Australian and Overseas Public and Private Institutions.
As our Practice Manager, Sally is enthusiastic, well spoken, and fully understanding of the concept of patient confidentiality. Because of her highly experienced background, Sally is able to communicate effectively with a full range of patients. She is dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable and at ease during their entire experience at our practice.
